Princess is a sweet girl who wants nothing more than to have a family of her own. She was surrendered to us and even though she has done well in the shelter environment, she has been with us long enough. She does very well on leash but she is strong, so would do best with an experienced handler. After she is put back in her kennel and eats her food, she usually just lays on her bed and is just calm, looking up at us when we walk by. She loves to be around people and has done well around other dogs, but as is with most of our dogs, we would recommend a meet and greet with your family first. Princess arrived at our shelter house-broken, but enduring long hours in a shelter kennel is hard on any dog. Once she’s in a home again, she’ll likely only need a reminder at most.

FOR ADOPTERS: please contact Kelly, our Adoption Coordinator, with any questions at or inquire directly via Petfinder. There is a link to our online ADOPTION APPLICATION on our Petfinder home page. You may also request an application via email. Paper copies are available at our shelter.
We always recommend a meet and greet with our dogs available for adoption. We are not able to assess dogs with cats since we are set up for dog intakes only. If you have cats, we advise a proper introduction while keeping the dog on leash in your home.
We are volunteer-based, so please be patient with our response time.
