Pit Bull Terrier - Young - Female
Adoptable Medium Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shots

Stella is a cutie that was found as a stray. No one came for her and now nearly 6 months later, she’s still waiting for her forever home. She walks well on leash, adores people, and gets along with most dogs. She’s been introduced to male and female dogs at our shelter. She engages in play with male dogs at our shelter but is occasionally selective around another female. If you have an alpha-female, then Stella is probably not the right match for your home. Prior to coming to our shelter, we don’t think Stella had engaged in play, getting to know other dogs (the concept of other dogs was not familiar to her). Since then we gradually introduced her to others, and she seems to understand they can be great companions to run around with. She’s a healthy fit, playful, and loving girl! Stella enjoys playing with any toy given to her at our shelter. Walking by her kennel, she holds it in her mouth when she greets you, hoping you’ll stop and play a little tug-of-war with her. She plays well, not rough (she isn’t mouthy with her toys at all). Stop by and take this girl for a walk so you can see her sweet, loving demeanor.
Please contact us and bring along any other dog in your home for a meet and greet if interested in adopting her. Stella weighs around 38 lbs and is a younger adult.

For adoption inquiries, please contact Kelly, our Adoption Coordinator, at or inquire directly via Petfinder. We are a volunteer-based humane society; please be patient with our response time to your inquiries. We are not able to assess dogs with cats since we are a small, rural shelter set up for dog intake only. We may be able to provide an opinion on how a dog may get along with cats, but behavior in your home is unknown until they would be properly introduced under supervision. For inquiries regarding a dog’s behavior with small children, the majority of our shelter dogs are unclaimed strays & we have limited or no history. We always recommend a meet and greet with our dogs available for adoption.
